The Castle Museum has been housed in Saginaw’s original post office for the last three decades. This landmark building, rescued from demolition twice, was dedicated in 1898 and is considered our greatest artifact.



A wide variety of the Museum’s exhibits showcase life in Saginaw County over the centuries; from artifacts of the Native American tribes and the first Euro-American settlers of the Saginaw Valley to lumbering along the Saginaw River and its tributaries to the dawn of steering gears which pushed the automotive industry forward with advancing technology.
